Getting your table plan organised is not an easy task, chasing up those last minute RSVPs, keeping a certain guest on the opposite end of the room away from that other guest, trust us we know it can sometimes be a bit of a drag.
One of the bonuses of printing individual seating chart cards is that if you have any of those pesky last minute drop outs, you don’t have to re-print the whole seating plan.
They’re also light and easy to travel with if you have a destination wedding.
Practicality aside, we’re here to keep it fun! Let’s leave the stressful stuff alone for a few minutes. The best thing about individual seating chart cards is it allows you to show off your creative hand, bring in your personality, and show your guests a little bit of you.
Your display doesn’t have to be expensive either, you may even have your display already at home, it could be found in your local charity shop, boot fair or a click away on Facebook Marketplace, the possibilities are endless.
From the quirky to the wonderful, here are few ideas to inspire you.
Drink Up
What’s your drink of choice? Probably the easiest table plan to create, whether you are a Wine connoisseur or Gin fanatic there’s something for everyone.
Attach the cards as tags around the neck of the bottle, create your very own brand label sticker, or use the cork to hold your cards at the top of the bottle. The bottles don’t even need to be empty, but where’s the fun in that?
The Mirror
This one has probably flooded your Pinterest account and you can see why, timeless and elegant, the mirror table plan can please the masses.
Simply find a mirror to suit your theme and seal your seating cards with some adhesive tape or if you’re feeling extra fancy you can add a wax seal - we know a great supplier.
Plants
If you’re a proud plant parent or love the outdoors, this one is perfect.
Pot your favourite herbs, flowers or plants and use a wooden skewer, lolly stick or some table number holders to hold your table plan card in place.
What’s your Hobby?
Like to Surf? Bonded over paddle boarding in lockdown? Why not use your board for your table plan? (Other hobbies are available)
Picture Perfect
Another simple yet effecting idea but completely unique to you is a photo table plan.
Find a large frame you like, attach string and clothes pegs to attach your cards and photos. Completely personal. Also another chance to show off your professional engagement photos if you had them taken.
Looking for something less rustic, why not use individual photo frames, stand or hang them separately or attach them together and lean on an easel.
You’ve Reached your Destination
If you’re keen travellers this might be the one for you.
A map of the world, your favourite trails in National Parks, Mountains you’ve explored on your Ski trips, or an avid fan of that National Trust Membership.
Get a map of locations that mean something to you both and drop pin your cards to them.
The Collector
Are you a souvenir collector from your travels, pots, or have an interest in ceramics. Why not dust them off and exhibit them on your Wedding day?
Got an old step ladder?
This is a diverse display tool for a rustic wedding, going back to some ideas mentioned previously, you could use your favourite drink bottles, plant pots, the classic string and clothing pegs, or picture frames. Paired next to your Florals or Garden Herbs this is Perfect for a Rustic Aesthetic.
Master Chef
Got a talented Chef or an exceptional Home-Cook in our presence? How about some rustic wooden chopping boards tied to a frame? Chefs-Kiss
Tying the Knot
Do you have a passion for crafting or have a friend that does? Get them involved.
Macrame epitomises Boho-Style Wedding, use a knotted string wall hanging, a wooden or copper pipe frame, attach your cards accompanied by fresh wild or dried flowers and grass for an absolutely beautiful touch.
Thank you for the Music
Concert goer, festival attendee or general music fan, what about using record sleeves? The resurgence of vinyl means your current favourite artists will be available to buy or if you like the classics your favourite charity shop or car boot will be a good place to look.
Another option would be using your favourite festival or gig posters, ideal for a Festival - themed teepee wedding.
